Celebrating our Schools:

St. Oswald’s, RC Primary School, South Shields:

To celebrate the feast of St. Joseph the Worker on the first of May, the children of St. Oswald’s dedicated a day to wordwork. This gave the children an opportunity to discuss and reflect on how hardworking Joseph was. We know he was a carpenter and we can picture him working in a workshop to provide for his family, Mary and Jesus. We can also picture him teaching his skills to Jesus.

Read more about their experiences, read their prayer for the Year of St. Joseph and view further images here.

St. Thomas More Primary School, Belmont, Durham:

To celebrate the Year of St. Joseph, St. Thomas More ran a competition among pupils from every year to create their own prayer cards. The winning designs are to be given out to our governors and parishioners. You can view the winning design from each year group by clicking on the image to open and view their PowerPoint.
